Is it safe to use it?

pmatch itself will not delete any files but (obviously) may be used for this purpose. Personally I use pmatch to remove duplicates of my photos. I would be very upset if by mistake I would delete all duplicates! That is why I have created test script - it's accesible in SVN in test directory. All it does is creating some pseudo-random directories and files, and running pmatch to remove duplicates. Then it will check if correct number of files was deleted. It will not cover 100% of use-cases but is good enough to convience me that I will not loose my preacious photos!

Most of the code is also covered by unit tests - I'm trying to test every relase thoroughly. Here is "screenshot" from testing before I released version 0.3:
